📜 Terms of Service

Rules we keep together

Here are StoryLoom's promises, so both kids and parents can use the service with peace of mind.

Article 1 (About the Service)

StoryLoom (the "Service") is an interactive storybook service for children provided by StoryLoom (the "Company"). Children shape their own stories by making choices in each scene. These Terms set out the rights and obligations between the Company and users regarding the Service.

Article 2 (Accounts: Created and Managed by Parents)

Accounts may be created and managed only by a parent or guardian aged 19 or older. Children use the Service solely through a profile under a parent's account. Parents are responsible for keeping their account credentials (email, password) secure, and all important actions — settings, payments, and deletion — are performed by the parent.

Article 3 (Age of Use and Parental Supervision)

The Service's story content is designed primarily for children aged 4–7. Children must use the Service with a parent's consent and under their supervision. The Company does not expose ads, external links, open chat, or live AI conversation on the child's screen.

Article 4 (License to Content)

All rights to the Service's content — stories, images, and audio — belong to the Company or its rightful owners. Users are granted a non-exclusive license for personal, in-home enjoyment only. Unauthorized copying, redistribution, derivative works, and commercial use are not permitted.

Article 5 (Payments and Refunds)

The first three stories a user opens are provided free of charge; all other stories are available on a paid plan. Before payments begin, pricing, billing cycles, and refund criteria will be clearly announced in advance, and payments will only be possible through a parent's account. Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable e-commerce laws and the announced policy.

Article 6 (Prohibited Conduct)

The following are prohibited: using another person's account, unauthorized crawling or reverse engineering of the Service, unauthorized copying or redistribution of content, interfering with the operation of the Service, and any use that violates laws or public order. The Company may restrict use or suspend accounts for violations.

Article 7 (Changes and Discontinuation of the Service)

The Company may improve or change the Service. If all or part of the Service must be discontinued, the Company will provide advance notice within a reasonable period and, where paid users exist, provide appropriate compensation in accordance with applicable laws.

Article 8 (Limitation of Liability)

The Company operates the Service with best efforts so children can enjoy it safely. However, liability for damages caused by events beyond the Company's reasonable control — such as natural disasters or network failures — is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Article 9 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes related to the Service will first be resolved through mutual consultation; if that is not possible, they will be resolved by the competent court under applicable law.

Article 10 (Contact)

For questions about these Terms, please use the Support page or email hello@storyloom.app. The Company will respond promptly and in good faith.

Effective date: 2026-09-26 (draft) — these Terms may be updated after legal review before official launch.
